The Mead, Westbury

Site Context

The proposed development site lies about one mile north of Nuneaton town centre, to the west of Higham Lane.

In Nuneaton & Bedworth Borough Council's Draft Borough Plan, this site forms part of proposed strategic allocation HSG1 (North of Nuneaton), requiring delivery of some 3530 new homes. A number of the other landholdings that form part of HSG1 have already been granted planning consent or are subject to live planning applications.

The land at Top Farm is owned by Warwickshire County Council Property (WCC Property). WCC Property is responsible for around 550 separate land and property assets. It regularly evaluates its land portfolio and through the rationalisation of assets, it generates capital receipts for reinvestment in service improvements within the County.

Warwickshire County Council is committed to working closely with the community to ensure that a high quality, sustainable scheme is delivered that supports the regeneration of the town and provides a wide range of benefits for the area.
